Craig is retiring

After working with Chris since he set up City Timber in 1993, Craig is following him into retirement. Craig has been helping Martin learn the ropes over the past few months, and is now set to head off and explore the country in his campervan.

Craig is highly knowledgeable and skilled. He can take one look at an old weatherboard and immediately know how to recreate it; he has an astonishing memory for who has ordered what timber over the years, how much it cost, and where we got it from; and he is a cheerful and friendly presence in the shop. You will be missed Craig!

Martin is busy hiring and training new staff, who you’ll meet very soon. While Craig has big shoes to fill, we have every intention of continuing the same level of service that City Timber is known for. It might take us a while to learn everyone’s names and historical orders, but bear with us and we’ll get what you need!

Craig, we wish you all the best and expect to see you back here when you get bored of the good life!
